ABSTRACT

Objective@#To analyze the association of stored autologous blood transfusion (SABT) with tumor recurrence in PCa patients after radical prostatectomy and explore the application of SABT in this surgical procedure.@*METHODS@#Forty-five PCa patients underwent radical prostatectomy in our hospital in recent five years, of whom, 20 received SABT (group A) and the other 25 allogeneic blood transfusion (group B) intraoperatively. After surgery, we followed up the patients regularly for 3-66 months by examination of the levels of total PSA (tPSA) and free PSA (fPSA), digital rectal examination (DRE), and MRI to observe the biochemical recurrence of the tumor. We compared the data obtained between the two groups of patients.@*RESULTS@#In group A, 8 cases were in stages T1a-T1b and 12 in stages T2a-T2c, and in group B, 14 cases were in stages T1a-T1b and 11 in stages T2a-T2c. The volume of transfused blood was 800 ml in group A and 400-1 200 ml in group B. No statistically significant differences were observed between the two groups in the operation time, intraoperative blood loss or postoperative Gleason scores (P > 0.05), nor in the tPSA level or the results of DRE and MRI at 12, 24, 36, 48 and over 48 months (P > 0.05).@*CONCLUSIONS@#SABT is safe for PCa patients undergoing radical prostatectomy and does not increase the tumor recurrence rate after surgery.

ABSTRACT

In order to clarify the research directions of medical facilities' data analysis and decision in operation and maintenance management, the paper illustrates current functions of medical facilities operation and maintenance from the following aspects:building hospital intelligent management, power supply and distribution system's safety, energy consumption's optimization, network's optimization and complex medical equipment's operation guarantee. The problems of data analysis and decision about hospital facilities' operation and maintenance management are summarized.Four kinds of data decision models are put forward, including risk identification, health assessment of equipment, faults prediction and diagnosis, and management optimization. These methods could provide reference for the development of medical facilities' operation and maintenance.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To design an online pure water analysis system based on the proton and heavy ion accelerator (IONTRIS system) in Shanghai proton and heavy ion center (SPHIC), and to evaluate its application effect by operating data statistics. Methods: The system used the control system of Siemens S7-300 PLC to collect online data from sensors of pure water system. Analyzing the operation rules and setting the limiting value of alarm, and using WINCC software to develop monitoring and analysis system of central computer so as to real-time operate online data. The application effect of the system was evaluated by comparing the cost of one month consumables between before and after the system was applied. Results: After the system was applied, the real-time monitoring of pure water system was realized, and the efficiency of the consumables was enhanced. Conclusion: The application of the pure water analysis system has a good effect on the operation efficiency of the pure water system.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo observe the effects of calcium phosphate cement/eucommia ulmoides extracts compound (CPC/EUE) on cell proliferation and adhesion of MC3T3E1 osteoblasts in vitro.

METHODSCultured MC3T3E1 osteoblasts were divided into 5 groups: blank control, CPC/EUE 0, 0.152, 0.304 and 0.608 mg/ml. 3H-TdR and scan electronic microscopy (SEM) were used to observe the cell growth, proliferation and adhesion.

RESULTThe CPC/EUE compound enhanced the cell growth, proliferation and adhesion. The concentrations of 0.152 mg/ml, 0.304 mg/ml were more significant in enhancing the cell proliferation rate (P<0.05).

CONCLUSIONCPC/EUE can promote the cell growth, proliferation and adhesion of the osteoblasts.

ABSTRACT

In order to explore the value of gamma-interferon (IFN-gamma) in therapy of T lymphoid leukemia and role of cytometric bead array (CBA) method in detection of Th1/Th2 cytokines expression, the Jurkat cells were cultured for 48 hours in different concentration of IFN-gamma, the expressions of IL-2, IL-6, INF-gamma and TNF-alpha in culture supernatants were assayed by CBA method; CD25 expression was assayed by flow cytometry. The results showed that the expressions of IL-2, TNF-alpha were enhanced in INF-gamma dose-dependent way, and the expression of CD25 was also enhanced, but there was no expression of IL-6. It is concluded that Jurkat cells induced by IFN-gamma were able to express high-level of Th1 cytokine and IL-2 membrane receptor (CD25), and the CBA method can be used to exactly evaluate the dynamic change of Th1/Th2 cytokines.
